Warm Neighbors Cool Friends (WNCF)
Contact your local WADI office if you are struggling to make ends meet due to illness, injury, job loss, or other hardships. You may be eligible for assistance through Warm Neighbors Cool Friends.
Warm Neighbors Cool friends is a program to assist individuals who:
WADI is partnering with The Energy Assistance Foundation in an effort to assist customers who normally fall through the funding cracks. The Energy Assistance Foundation is a non-profit organization funded entirely by donations where 100% of customer contributions go directly to help those in need.

- Have had a crisis beyond their control
- Meet the income criteria (listed below)
- And have active service established in his/her name with Ameren Illinois at their current residence
- Or are 60 years or older
- Don't qualify for LIHEAP

Ameren Community Assistance
Ameren Community Assistance programs provides energy assistance for Ameren Customers who are in between the 0-300% guidelines. Customers may qualify for a match payment up to $200 on their utility bill. Please contact your local WADI office for more information.
percentage of income payment plan (Pipp)
The Percentage of Income Payment Plan is a benefit choice within the Illinois Energy Assistance Program, that is available to customers of Ameren Illinois. The PIPP program will enroll customers in a budget billing plan. Under this program, the State may pay a portion of your monthly budget bill and you will be required to pay the rest.
