The Ella Mae Nettleton Discretionary Fund was created when a previous recipient of WADI services passed away. She willed half of her estate to WADI to benefit others as she had been helped. In her honor we have continued the program using donated funds. This is used when no other resources are available to help meet the customer’s need. No administration costs are withheld from donations. This fund assists income eligible people residing in our seven county service area of Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Saline, Wabash, Wayne and White.
We also have a Local County Donation Fund that we use when donors want their money to stay within their own county. Typical purchases include medication, gasoline for medical appointments or to get to work, emergency food, diapers, formula, etc. Donors may state whether they want their funds to be used for low income families or only for households that are over income for our other programs. No administration costs are withheld from donations.
